Senior Product Manager

Job Description:

Senior Product Manager for a nascent digital communications product line with both embedded and cloud-based software solutions. The successful candidate will have a significant influence in determining the strategy, execution, and overall success of the business unit with strong potential for growth into a senior management position.

Responsibilities:

  • Defining and maintaining a business strategy
  • Target market identification & validation
  • Establishment, tracking and reporting out of progress versus business goals
  • Set pricing strategies for software license & maintenance models and supporting hardware
  • Product definition or refinement based on customer visits & feedback as well as competitive assessments and market understanding and trend analysis
  • Supports as required all aspects of product line management including pricing, forecasting, contracting, new product specification, customer support, & key account management
  • Effectively communicate to and collaborate with engineering to deliver the desired solutions
  • Expand and develop an effective sales channel for target markets
  • Participate in the identification and recruitment of key hires
  • Thoroughly test solutions against the desired user experience

Experience

  • Identifying and developing new market spaces for a given technology
  • Proven track record in revenue growth in the area of digital voice communications in markets such as professional audio, broadcasting, or VoIP communications
  • Significant inperson customer-facing interactions that include identification of customer wants and needs that are translated into market and product specifications
  • Providing databased direction to software development teams to build, deliver and support cloud-based software solutions
  • Successful launch to market of new products with follow up and support
  • Effective analysis and communication to the business unit on market requirements and trends (including User Interface/experience – UI/UX) as well as competitor features, and ecosystem
  • Close, positive, and effective working relationship with the sales channel

Qualification / Skills Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science or Electrical Engineering), Master’s preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work and lead in a dynamic and responsive environment
  • Datadriven, critical thinker able to work up and down the organization
  • Independent, selfmotivated, customer/market focused
  • Strong leadership skills based on transparency, honesty, and the ability to foster trust
  • Able to delegate and make difficult decisions in a timely fashion
