The HR Specialist in our Manufacturing Plant, will focus on these main activities:
Â
- Manage the recruiting process for all blue-collar manufacturing and warehouse positions, both permanent and temporary staffing.
- Support the day-to-day HR related activities, including data analysis, internal communications, compensation & benefits, absenteeism management, disciplinary procedures, performance management and the like, in coordination with HR Director, HRBP and Plant Leadership team.
- Manage weekly Payroll & Time/Attendance functions for manufacturing employees, and process weekly hourly payroll.Â
- Be the point of reference for plant HR KPI with a special focus on labor cost and efficiency.
- Represent the plant on People Development topics (e.g. Training / Skill assessment / Suggestion system etc.).
- Be present on the manufacturing floor daily, to have an in-depth of understanding of issues, employee needs, business needs and have an eye for improvement opportunities.Â
- Report solid line to the HR Director, and dotted line to the Operations Director, while successfully navigating a matrix organization.
- General HR Administration of systems, documents, employee and other files.Â
- Other duties as needed.Â
The ideal candidate has a background in Human Resources, 5+ years working in an HR function directly in a manufacturing plant, and a bachelor’s degree. They will also have:

- Must be skilled in processing payroll, time & attendance, and US labor regulations regarding pay practices.Â
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve day-to-day issues in a manufacturing environment.
- Good listening and communication skills, with both factory workers and Plant Leadership team, while maintaining confidentiality at all levels.Â
- Experience with ADP, or similar payroll reporting software, and SAP HR/SuccessFactors, a plus.Â
- Ability to maintain confidential information, while solving problems.Â
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Fluent in English & Portuguese, is a plus.
The successful candidate MUST be comfortable working daily in a manufacturing environment.Â
