- Job Location: Holyoke, MA
Seeking an Electrical Technician to join our growing team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain Massachusetts Journeyman’s electrician’s license.
- Perform Preventive and Corrective Maintenance on electrical and related equipment.
- Complete work orders, installations and projects as assigned.
- Assist Millwrights/Mechanics with mechanical Preventive and Corrective Maintenance.
- Calibrate, repair, and keep in good working order the instrumentation equipment.
- Assist with maintenance of the spare parts inventory.
- Participate in the day-to-day compliance with Food Safety, 5S and Pre-requisite programs.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Utilize computer for communication, calibrations records and work order details.
- Troubleshooting PLC program logic and industrial motor drive systems.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Climbing Stairs, Bending, Twisting, Reaching, Pushing, Pulling and Squatting. Walking or standing on concrete floors for most of shift.
- Climbing Ladders and Working on High lift. Lifting is minimal, occasionally up to 40 lbs. Exposure to coatings and solvents. Shift formats vary (8 hours, 12 hours, nights, days).
- Good and reliable attendance.
- Current Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician’s License.
- Prior positions working with similar equipment and similar environment
- Industrial electrical experience with web-based machines recommended.
- Able to work independently and/or as part of a team, effectively communicate, get along with others, positive attitude and be well organized.
- Have basic computer knowledge. PLC ladder logic programming and or Drive systems a plus
