Summary:

The job holder must perform his / her duties in such a way that:
  • The manufacturing, assembly processes and workflows are set so that the products can be produced in the required quality, at economic cost.
  • Bills of materials and routings for assemblies and individual parts are created on time.
  • A practicable standard for the work plans is set up or maintained.
  • Tools relevant for production can be designed, manufactured and / or procured on schedule.
  • Optimum selection of the nature and condition of the raw material, tools and machines is ensured.
  • The process-reproducible processes are created.
  • He does all the tasks in a factually correct, fast and economical manner.
  • That his actions always correspond to the corporate philosophy and serve to achieve the goals mentioned in the corporate concept.

The job holder must inform and advise the superior in such a way that it is in a position to:
  • Communicate and represent all relevant information relevant to the company at the reporting level.
  • Define, where appropriate, the appropriate measures and objectives and to identify progress towards the achievement of the objectives in the staggered periods.
Responsibilities:
 
  • Creation of work plans and manufacturing doo appointments.
  • Definition of raw materials (dimensions, type, semi-finished product or cast part).
  • Master data creation of the raw material in SAP.
  • Creation of production BOMs.
  • Make or buy Decide on drafted materials.
  • Clarify beforehand which supplier is suitable or make suggestions for possible selection (also suggest technology-related innovations).
  • Specification of required clamping and / or assembly devices, with forwarding of information to the designer.
  • Create change requests and Q-Notes
  • Processing change requests and Q-Notes
  • Complete change requests with maintenance of the index and status of routings, and master data (this procedure is also part of the device qualification).
  • Basic data maintenance with current values ??and data (current response times of the operations)
  • Sequences and processing machines.
  • Active participation in improvement, manufacturing cost and rationalization projects within the department and externally, if necessary, initiate them yourself and bring them to a conclusion under target and deadlines.
  • Assignment of production and service orders
  • Processing of service orders within production
  • Advises the design with regard to the choice of material and manufacturing technology, taking into account technical and business contexts (goal: cost reduction and standardization).
  • Advises the strategic and operative purchasing via expected manufacturing costs and possible manufacturing processes.
  • Advises the supplier about manufacturing processes, processes and assistance with problems and questions about technical documentation.
  • Informs the supervisor in case of failure to meet deadlines.
  • Informs order control after completion of specified work steps.
  • Informs departments and people in the information chain, such as: production management, order management, IT department, QA and design.
  • Contorls, if necessary, the basic data and default values in SAP (target / actual comparisons).
  • Takes part in necessary kick-off meetings, departmental meetings, project meetings, CDR's.

Qualifications and Skills:
 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (Citizen, Green Card)
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering
  • Strong knowledge of CAD
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills
  • Prior SAP experience preferred, but not required
