Job Description:
The chosen candidate will have an opportunity to get in on the ground floor and buy shares toward partnership. A P.E. stamp in Rhode Island or Massachusetts is a must. Both are preferred.
The candidate must have a P.E. in civil engineering and understand civil site design. This is a new, Rhode Island-based company that will also work in Massachusetts but won’t disregard opportunities in Connecticut if they arise.


Company will provide the following:
  • Startup seed money, including payroll while business contacts are accruing
  • Office space
  • Hardware & software
  • CAD software
  • Survey/GIS equipment
  • Work vehicle
  • Plotter and all office equipment
  • Administrative staff, including costs
  • Payroll abilities, including costs
  • Limited, existing clientele
  • Marketing means and materials
  • All permitting capabilities

The preferred candidate will provide the following:  
Ability to design and draft at least small-scale civil engineering projects including, but not necessarily limited to:
  • Lots of single-family houses, including demo-rebuilt jobs
  • Additions
  • Septic systems
  • Stormwater design
  • Work associated with construction around environmentally sensitive areas such as wetlands and waterways
  • Ability to perform peer reviews for Site Plan Review at local Planning Boards and review of Notices of Intents at Conservation Commissions in Massachusetts.
  • An ability to market themselves

The selected candidate will be:
  • Lead projects from start to finish with minimal oversight in a time efficient manner
  • Able to buy shares in company stock after 1 year, having met minimum standards for performance.
  • Share in profits based on company share percentage.
  • The owner shall retain 51% interest in the company.

Requirements:
  • Must have a Professional Engineering license in Rhode Island or Massachusetts. Preferably both.
  • Driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel to sites in MA and RI.
