The candidate must have a P.E. in civil engineering and understand civil site design. This is a new, Rhode Island-based company that will also work in Massachusetts but won’t disregard opportunities in Connecticut if they arise.

Job Description:
The chosen candidate will have an opportunity to get in on the ground floor and buy shares toward partnership. A P.E. stamp in Rhode Island or Massachusetts is a must. Both are preferred.
The candidate must have a P.E. in civil engineering and understand civil site design. This is a new, Rhode Island-based company that will also work in Massachusetts but won’t disregard opportunities in Connecticut if they arise.
Company will provide the following:
- Startup seed money, including payroll while business contacts are accruing
- Office space
- Hardware & software
- CAD software
- Survey/GIS equipment
- Work vehicle
- Plotter and all office equipment
- Administrative staff, including costs
- Payroll abilities, including costs
- Limited, existing clientele
- Marketing means and materials
- All permitting capabilities
The preferred candidate will provide the following:
Ability to design and draft at least small-scale civil engineering projects including, but not necessarily limited to:
- Lots of single-family houses, including demo-rebuilt jobs
- Additions
- Septic systems
- Stormwater design
- Work associated with construction around environmentally sensitive areas such as wetlands and waterways
- Ability to perform peer reviews for Site Plan Review at local Planning Boards and review of Notices of Intents at Conservation Commissions in Massachusetts.
- An ability to market themselves
The selected candidate will be:
- Lead projects from start to finish with minimal oversight in a time efficient manner
- Able to buy shares in company stock after 1 year, having met minimum standards for performance.
- Share in profits based on company share percentage.
- The owner shall retain 51% interest in the company.
Requirements:
- Must have a Professional Engineering license in Rhode Island or Massachusetts. Preferably both.
- Driver’s license.
- Ability to travel to sites in MA and RI.
