Description:
This position is responsible for ensuring product quality requirements, and customer order requirements are fulfilled. In addition to inspections and audits, participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including error/defect prevention.  



Essential Duties
  • Mechanical and visual inspection of manufactured items
  • Verify outgoing orders (correct material, count, label, etc.)
  • Error reporting and remediation
  • Assist in root cause investigations
  • Familiarity with non-conformance reporting
  • Perform scheduled internal and process audits
  • Continuous improvement activities as team member
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the company’s ISO 9001 procedures and perform duties within the scope of these procedures.
  • Light order entry responsibilities serving as a backup for RMA lead
  • And any other related task that the supervisor deems to be necessary.

Work environment
This is a manufacturing role which is located on a production or warehouse floor.  Noise levels may be elevated.  There is frequent interaction with co-workers. This position will have a desk in a traditional office environment for computer-based work.



Physical Demands
This role requires extended periods of standing, bending and walking and occasionally lifting weights up to 50 pounds.  This will also require the regular use of a variety of mechanical equipment.



This role requires:
  • Extended periods of walking.
  • To lift, bend and reach above shoulders’ level.
  • To lift up to 50 pounds.
  • To climb ladders.
  • Fine motor skills.
  • Fine manipulation abilities (both hands).
  • Ability to distinguish colors.
  • Ability to see, distinguish and manipulate small items (such as needles, thread, etc.)

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree level: High School or GED diploma
  • 2-4 years of experience in light manufacturing or warehousing/distribution industry
  • Highly proficient in MS Office with an emphasis on Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Can create formulas, format, and filter with ease.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, or similar
  • Basic understanding of order workflow
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Must have the ability to effectively interface with peers and department management in a tactful, professional manner. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering data. Must have independent research skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to write reports and correspondence.
  • Deadline-driven with excellent time management ability. Critical thinker with innovative problem-solving skills. Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize. Willing to wear multiple hats and to work outside job description, if needed.
  • Works collaboratively. Proactive and resourceful. Successfully works with diverse multilingual teams. Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including conflict resolution skills. Responsibility and accountability for their responsibilities and deadlines. Customer-focused approach with a high level of professionalism, integrity and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Associates degree in operation or business-related field a plus
