In this role you will be heavily involved with negotiating healthcare group contracts with multiple networks as well as ensuring any new contracts are implemented correctly. Communicating closely with the Contract Manager and Director.Â

Overview
Perform day-to-day contract implementation duties. The Senior Contract Analyst is responsible for modeling possible contract seniors for our clients to review. In this role you will be heavily involved with negotiating healthcare group contracts with multiple networks as well as ensuring any new contracts are implemented correctly. Communicating closely with the Contract Manager and Director.Â
Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze and model contracts to determine the effect on revenue projections.Â
- Review audits to ensure accurate contract implantation and subsequent claims processing.Â
- Obtain current contracted rates from clients and other sources
- Identify existing contracts that are up for renegotiation
- Maintain systems and other contracting documents with participating status, rates, and information pertaining to the process of claim payments
- Update participating provider lists
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve contract implementation issuesÂ
- Review contracts and applicable provider information based on contract language. If any configuration is needed to accommodate a particular contract, notify the appropriate teams.Â
- Review and research payment variance reports
- Obtain information requested by management
- Interact directly with clients via e-mail or phone
- Attend conference calls with clients and payers as requested
- Collaborate with Managers to resolve contracting issues
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct and be familiar with all compliance policies and procedures
Qualifications
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities perform the duties. 1+ year of provider contract implementation, contract analysis or claim analysis experience in the health care industry.Â
Education (Degrees, Certificates, Licenses, Etc.)
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Computer Skills
- Prior word processing, spreadsheet and internet software experience including proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word required.
Experience
- Prior third-party billing experience required, prior contracting experience preferred.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability
- Ability to comprehend and communicate contract information
- Ability to create tables or charts to display contract fees and proposals
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients and other employees of the organization
- Ability to resolve payment issues with insurance carriers
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, use hands, talk, hear and occasionally walk and reach with hands or arms
