Job Description:

The Senior Intake Analyst will be the primary resource for the initial analysis of information collected in the consideration and review of potential new clients, new hire attorneys and support staff as it pertains to potential conflicts of interest.  This position will report to the Client Intake Manager (“Manager”). 



This role requires 60% in office presence; remote work is permissible 40% of the time. 



Responsibilities:


Work with internal legal recruiters and human resources staff to obtain conflicts information regarding new attorneys and support staff. 


 
Conduct conflict checks on potential new lateral attorney candidates and prepare assessments of results.


 
Use internal and external databases to conduct research. 


 
Generate and analyze conflicts searches.


 
Work with the Manager and the Firm’s Ethics Partner to identify and effectively process to conclusion potential lateral hire conflict issues.


 
Communicate with internal contacts as to the status of new hire clearances.


 
Assist attorneys in the identification and resolution of conflicts of interest.


 
Assist the Manager by providing oversight on implementation of screens/firewalls to ensure they are completed in a timely manner for new firm matters. 


 
Assist in the review and approval of intake submissions.


 
Assist in the review and analysis of conflict-of-interest reports for all new Firm business to identify potential conflict issues.

 
Conduct research including corporate history of clients, and parties related to the former and new client work. 


 
At the direction of the Manager assist with other requests related to the resolution and clearance of conflicts of interest issues. 


 
Respond to conflict and intake inquiries from attorneys and assistants.


 
Assume additional responsibilities as requested.


 
This role requires 60% in office presence; remote work is permissible 40% of the time.



 
Qualifications:


Bachelor Degree required, JD preferred.

 
5+ years of law firm experience in conflict management or legal practice experience.

 
In-depth knowledge of ethical, legal and risk management rules and requirements.  Willingness to learn substantive law required.

 
Experience with conflicts software.

 
Knowledge of Elite 3E is desirable.

 
Strong database skills required.

 
Proficiency using on-line research tools such as Lexis/Nexis.

 
Experience with legal research and writing. 

 
Must be comfortable analyzing, working with and presenting data.

 
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

 
Outstanding sense of customer service.

 
Strong planning and organizational skills including demonstrated ability to manage multiple, diverse projects concurrently.

 
Analytical and creative approach to problem-solving.

 
Demonstrated ability to use discretion and judgment in making and communicating decisions. 

 
Ability to professionally and cooperatively interact with attorneys, staff, and co-workers within the firm.

 
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to gain the respect, trust and confidence of the Firm’s members, associates and staff.

 
Must be highly responsive.

 
Strong sense of urgency.


 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
