ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Serve as hands-on, technical leader in supporting electrical designs for new products and existing product lines
• Create documentation for electrical circuit designs, and support designs using internal and external resources
• Prepare for and lead electrical design reviews, and contribute to system-level design reviews
• Lead the verification of electrical subsystem designs, including generation of protocols and reports
• Prepare engineering change documentation
• Lead the support of contract manufacturers for supply of PCBAs and components
• Address field issues by determining root cause and implementing corrective actions as necessary

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related degree, plus a minimum of seven years of electrical design experience for medical devices
• Experience with medical device safety and regulatory standards
• Experience with digital and analog design, including microprocessor-based electromechanical design, motor control, power supplies, and battery controller designs
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools
• Must be reliable and able to work independently
• Must be detail oriented and organized
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
