SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Strong mechanical skills
- Use of basic hand tools
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Knowledge of injection molding process
- Proactive – Must be a self-starter.
- Safety conscious
- Ability to troubleshoot molding process problems.
- Good attitude - Ability to work well with others.
- Good communication skills - Ability to define and explain solutions.
- Preventative machine maintenance
- Mold tooling maintenance
- Pull and set tools as required.
- Notify lead of needed extended repairs and/or spare parts.
- Completion of all pertinent maintenance paperwork
- Replace tool components when damaged or broken.
- Help production team as needed.
- Quality auditing and understanding
- Troubleshoot hot runner systems.
- Report any potential food safety, legality, quality or food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel.
- Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality systems.
- Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices
- Must follow all company policies and procedures.
- Must follow PPE procedures (Personal Protection Equipment)
- This is a safety sensitive position which may require random drug testing.
