Systems Technician
Scope:
The System Technicians perform routine calibrations, troubleshooting and system final tests.
Responsibilities:
Level 1 Responsibilities
- Use small hand tools to strip, bend, fasten and connect parts, tasks require a high level of skill with a variety of hand tools and precision measuring equipment
- Uses power meters, light source, calibration tools
- Performs optical-mechanical alignment, correct alignment of optics components
- Performs complex electro-mechanical assembly work
- Understands the functional operation of the items assembled as well as the finished product
- Utilizes complex and detailed manufacturing documentation
- Test systems at various steps in the manufacturing process to meet product specifications
- Completes final test scans and measurements to meet final product specifications
- Updates production records and test results
- Maintain a clear and orderly work area
- Demonstrate and follow cGMP and ISO processes within a medical manufacturing environment.
- Communicates clearly with engineers to identify non-conformances
- Completes final test scans and measurements to meet final product specifications
- Participate in maintaining and improving process and output
- Maintain a clear and orderly work area
- Demonstrate and follow cGMP and ISO processes within a medical manufacturing environment.
- Conducts training for lower level technicians and participates in revision training within the Final Test group
Requirements:
- Education level 1 & 2: High School diploma or equivalent required
- Education level 3: High School diploma or higher education preferred
- Level 2 & 3: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in electro-optical assembly environment and functional test and calibration processes
- Level 3: 2 years of college or a technician certificate or equivalent experience preferred
- Ability to calibrate optical equipment, do precision mechanical alignment
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written and to read and understand manufacturing process instructions
- Knowledge of hand tools, hardware and component identification
- Familiar with computers, able to enter data and produce reports.
Working Environment:
- Environment is enclosed electronic assembly area with sealed floors, climate control system, fluorescent lighting, ESD (electrostatic discharge) protected workstations and ESD sensitive material.
- Some lifting (~20lbs.) required
- Hand Dexterity (system communication cable attachment)
