Description:

Overview:
Looking for an energetic Vice President of Engineering to join the team reporting to the Chief Executive.
Duties:
- Responsible for overseeing the entire engineering lifecycle, from concept to implementation, and for ensuring that all engineering activities align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
- Act as a true business partner to the senior management team, assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and the Company’s long-term strategy.
- Work with the Chief Financial Officer and CEO in overseeing budgeting and forecasting, monitoring progress, and reviewing financial metrics both internally and externally.
- PhD in electrical engineering, applied physics with emphasis on optical systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- At least 8 years of relevant job experience.
- Effective communication (email, verbal, written) with team members and other senior management.
- US citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain security clearance (successful candidates will be required to undergo a rigorous background investigation to obtain a security clearance, which is mandatory for this position).
