Role and Responsibilities:
- The WH Lead is a working leader position that oversees the safe movement of materials into the plant and to the production lines, picking and packing, through training, organizing & monitoring the workflow within the area(s) of responsibility.
- Safely lead the activities of team members in the movement of materials
- Assist in training and coaching of new employees during the onboarding process and in assigned area
- Support team in moving materials, maintaining inventory and tracking supply levels
- Assist WH Manager in process improvements.
- Maintain open communication with team and motivate them to achieve goals
- Achieve production targets by ensuring work availability and readiness and employee ethic
- Know and understand all operations within the assigned area
- Assume responsibilities of WH Manager in his/her absence
- Minimum 2-4 years in a WH role, 2 in a leadership capacity
- High School Diploma/GED, Associates degree preferred
- Hands-on leader that is a role model with high integrity, positive influence, and strong business acumen embracing a safe work environment, change, possesses a continuous improvement mindset, and has a passion for exceeding customer and company expectations
- Must be bi-lingual Spanish
- Previous experience operating motorized equipment
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills both verbal and written
- Strong leadership and organizational skills as well as problem solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent track record driving employee engagement
- Computer Literate – Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel and Word, SAP preferred
- Dedicated to quality in all aspects of the job
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding business environment
