This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) practice and procedure, including eTariff filings, and strong skills in energy transaction support, document management, and administrative litigation support.  Paralegal certification is a plus but is not required for this role. The Facility Services Department (FSD) is responsible for the operations and maintenance of our complex in support of the research mission. It also furnishes the design, engineering, and construction needs, addressing its ever-changing program requirements. As stewards of over 2-million SF of facilities, FSD manages a large portfolio of construction projects for research labs, office space, capital renewal, emergency repair and deferred maintenance efforts. • This position involves performing routine quality checks on tubing extrusion lines throughout the shift. The employee will collect tubing samples from each line and measure them using a video microscope, which has measurement software.
• If everything is within specification, they can give the “ok” to start an Extrusion line. They will also check other details at the extrusion lines, such as confirming the correct boxes, materials, and brand are being used. They will also inspect the tubing to ensure it meets visual standards (e.g., no burns, scratches, or other defects).
• All the tubing specifications are listed on manufacturing work orders that this person will have access to at each line. Also, each time an extrusion line completes a run or starts a new run, the employee will repeat all these checks. These inspections will make up the majority of the workday and the majority of the responsibilities of this role. We are hoping to get a few months of training prior to this person being on their own during this shift.

• The majority of the position will be visual inspections on brand accuracy, clarity, color, and no imperfections. They will be doing dimensional checks at the scope.
