Job Description
The group is seeking a lead engineer to integrate and test advanced electronics and space systems. The successful candidate will be able to contribute to multi-disciplinary teams executing advanced research and independently solve technical challenges. Machinists typically have ownership of their assigned partâs end to end fabrication lifecycle and provided substantial autonomy over developing their fabrication approach, fixture design/fabrication, tooling, CAM programming, setup, and machine operation.

Job Description
The Facility Service Departmentâs (FSD) engineering team is a full-service A/E consulting-style team knowledgeable in all aspects of building design and building/regulatory codes. We provide architecture and engineering assessments, design drawings, bid documents and construction administration for a wide variety of projects from small renovations to complete laboratories, clean rooms, etc. across our campus.

Responsibilities

Customer/end user coordination to develop scope (program SOW/BOD, and provide necessary presentation materials for end user approval.
Inspects space for existing conditions and makes recommendations for needed improvements.
Project scoping and cost estimate review
Prepares and develops space plans and SD/DD/CD documents using AutoCAD and REVIT in support of existing facility conditions and new space requirements.

Experience /Requirements

Bachelorâs degree in Architecture, plus minimum of 10 years of related work experience.

Experience in a Research/Laboratory & Office renovations working with aging infrastructure and occupied spaces is more desirable than new building project work.

Position summary:
Responsible for general machine and company maintenance.

Qualifications required:

Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
General maintenance skills
Knowledge of PLCâs a plus
Knowledge of setting up Cameraâs a plus
Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Electrical background a plus
Knowledge of heat-sealing process a plus
Proactive
Good attitude: ability to work well with others and be a team player.
Good communication skills

Essential functions and responsibilities:

Routine machine and equipment maintenance and repair
Product changeovers as needed.
General building maintenance
Preventive maintenance
Work on continuous improvement projects as needed.
Notify lead of needed extended repairs and or spare parts.
Completion of all pertinent maintenance paperwork
Be part of Corrective Action teams
Help production team as needed.
Quality auditing and understanding
Ability to perform quality testing as needed.
Report any potential food safety, legality, quality of food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel.
Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices
Maintains product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, and quality systems.
Must follow all company policies and procedures.
This is a Safety Sensitive Position (drug test may be required)
