Title: Silicone Process Engineer
Hiring Organization: Connexion Systems & Engineering
- Duration: PERM
- Pay rate: $85-120k
- Job Location: Shirley, RI
- Job# 15517
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee process validations, specifically for medical/healthcare products, including IQ/OQ/PQ, PPAP and DOE
- Work directly with project managers, operations manager, supervisors and process technicians to successfully develop robust molding and secondary processes
- Interact directly with key customers and function as key point of contact
- Assist in automation and fixture design/implementation
- Resolve corrective and preventive actions for specific issues
- Provide material selection recommendations for new programs
- Work across multiple departments, including Production and New Product Development
- Candidate should be a recent graduate from a Plastics Engineering field or similar undergraduate program, and ideally have 1-5 years’ experience in injection molding
- This position will require a high level of interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ideal candidate should have technical experience with new tool processing, project management and machine startup
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and preferably have working knowledge of IQMS ERP system
- Candidate should be energetic and willing to attack new and unique challenges
- Experience in launching new tooling programs, and interacting with the customer to develop timelines, validation strategies, and production starts
- Physical ability to complete job duties, which may include:
- standing for long periods
- material mixing
- lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to fill in at other company locations if needed.
- Display a positive and respectful attitude.
- Work with honesty and integrity
- Represent the organization in a responsible manner.
- Perform job to a reasonable, acceptable standard.
- Maintain good attendance.
- Dress appropriately for work environment
- Follow set policies and procedures.
