Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with hands-on blood or plasma collection experience to support donor care and plasma center operations in a highly regulated clinical environment. This role focuses on delivering safe, high-quality donor experiences while maintaining compliance with FDA regulations and clinical SOPs.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in plasma donation centers, blood collection facilities, or therapeutic apheresis settings, with strong venipuncture and donor monitoring skills.
Key Responsibilities

Perform and support plasma and apheresis collection procedures following SOPs and regulatory guidelines

Conduct donor screening and eligibility assessments, including health history reviews and basic physical assessments

Monitor donors before, during, and after procedures, identifying and responding to adverse reactions

Perform venipuncture and maintain vascular access during collection procedures
-
Educate donors about procedures, safety expectations, and health-related results

Maintain accurate, compliant clinical documentation and protect donor confidentiality

Operate, monitor, and perform quality checks on collection equipment

Support supply management, sanitation standards, and clinical readiness

Assist with product handling, labeling, and shipping workflows when needed

Support training and onboarding of new clinical staff as assigned

Collaborate with quality and clinical leadership on continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
-
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana
-
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Current CPR certification
-
Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience involving patient assessment

Direct experience in blood collection, plasma collection, or apheresis strongly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
-
Qualification in Apheresis (QIA) certification

Experience in therapeutic apheresis or donor collection centers

Bilingual communication skills are a plus

Knowledge of donor safety and collection best practices

Excellent interpersonal and patient/donor communication skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Clinical plasma collection center environment with exposure to biological materials

Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Ability to stand or sit for extended periods

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary

Requires manual dexterity and visual acuity for clinical procedures
