We're seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Controller to join a dynamic finance team supporting multiple business entities. This highly visible role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, compliance, and strategic planning, with a clear path for long-term career growth.

Position Summary
As the Assistant Financial Controller, you will play a key role in financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, internal controls, and audit support. This position requires strong technical accounting expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple business functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, consolidate, and analyze monthly and quarterly financial statements
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and capital expenditure planning
  • Support financial reporting across multiple business entities
  • Oversee general ledger activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Perform cost analysis and standard costing within a manufacturing environment
  • Maintain and improve internal controls while ensuring GAAP compliance
  • Partner with internal and external auditors during audit activities
  • Support ERP reporting, financial planning, and business intelligence initiatives
  • Collaborate with Sales, HR, Operations, and executive leadership on financial strategy and business planning
  • Mentor and support accounting staff while driving process improvements

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of accounting, Assistant Controller, or similar experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and standard cost accounting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Leadership or supervisory experience
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • CPA or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience supporting internal and external audits
  • Knowledge of internal controls and COSO framework
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial planning/reporting tools such as SAP BPC, Macola, or similar platforms
  • Power BI experience
