Description:
We’re seeking a Clinical Laboratory Specialist to support day-to-day clinical and manufacturing lab operations. This role involves hands-on technical testing, quality monitoring, method validation, and regulatory compliance. It’s a great opportunity for those eager to develop laboratory skills and contribute to high-impact clinical testing initiatives.
- Perform high-, mid-, and routine complexity laboratory tests following SOPs and regulatory guidelines
- Conduct molecular/serologic and manufacturing testing; ensure accurate data transfer and reporting
- Support method validations, feasibility studies, and quality control processes
- Accession clinical samples in the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and sign-off completed tests
- Train new staff on routine and high-complexity testing procedures
- Assist with equipment calibrations, documentation updates, and deviation reporting via MediaLab
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized lab operations with proper PPE usage
- Summarize quality metrics and validation data using Microsoft Office tools
- Promote a positive, team-focused laboratory environment
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Immunology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or related field required
- Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) certification from ASCP or equivalent preferred
Experience:
- Entry-level candidates welcome; up to 12 months of laboratory experience is a plus
Skills:
- Knowledge of immunohematology and molecular procedures (e.g., NAT testing)
- Strong organizational, communication, and technical writing skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Laboratory Information Systems
- Background check and drug screening required
- Work involves lab and office settings, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., and some travel within the U.S.
- Must be able to meet occupational demands including repetitive lab tasks and extended use of lab instruments
