Job Title: Curriculum/Instructional Designer

Compensation, Benefits, and Employment Type
  • Duration: 3 years
  • Pay rate: $55-$70/hr. 
  • Benefits include medical insurance, 401(k), 10 days of Paid Time off, and 11 paid holidays
  • Job Location: Lexington, MA (4 days on-site initially, later potential to drop down to 3)

Overview
The organization is seeking a Curriculum/Instructional Designer to support the development, delivery, and management of security education programs. This role focuses on creating training materials, coordinating awareness initiatives, analyzing program effectiveness, and ensuring personnel understand security requirements, policies, and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver security education materials in multiple formats, including computer-based training, presentations, posters, pamphlets, and briefings
  • Support security education and awareness programs aligned with organizational and government requirements
  • Schedule and coordinate training sessions, workshops, briefings, and guest speaker events
  • Maintain security education websites, training databases, and reporting tools
  • Track training completion, analyze trends, and forecast future education needs
  • Educate personnel on topics such as classified information handling, cybersecurity, physical security, insider threat awareness, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs and address gaps in security knowledge
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of education programs through feedback, assessments, and data analysis
  • Stay current on security regulations, policies, and emerging threats to continuously improve training content
  • Provide guidance to personnel on security awareness and compliance topics
  • Plan and execute annual security education and awareness initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • At least 5 years of experience developing and delivering training content
  • Experience presenting to both small and large audiences
  • Experience with eLearning authoring tools
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Experience analyzing data, generating reports, and measuring program effectiveness
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to develop training strategy and validate content

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with government security regulations, including NISPOM / 32 CFR Part 117
  • Experience working in a classified or industrial security environment
  • Familiarity with security management systems and government databases such as DISS
  • Experience with tools such as Articulate 360, LMS platforms, SAP, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience designing presentations, posters, technical documents, or visual training materials

Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid position. The role will initially require four days onsite per week during onboarding. Once fully ramped, the schedule may shift to three days onsite and two days remote.

Clearance
An interim clearance is acceptable to start.

Interview Process
The interview process will include an initial video screening with the hiring manager, followed by an in-person interview with team members. The in-person interview may include a prepared presentation.
