Description:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Supply Chain & Procurement to lead all aspects of sourcing, procurement, production planning, inventory management, supplier quality, logistics, and delivery assurance for a precision aerospace manufacturing operation.
This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for developing long-term supply chain strategies while ensuring the day-to-day execution needed to support manufacturing operations and customer delivery commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic supply chain initiatives that support business growth
- Lead procurement, planning, inventory control, and logistics functions
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and performance
- Improve supplier quality through audits, corrective actions, and development initiatives
- Drive on-time delivery through KPI management and supplier capacity planning
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Optimize ERP/MRP systems and planning processes
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, and applicable aerospace and defense requirements
- Mentor and develop a high-performing supply chain team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 6+ years of progressive aerospace supply chain experience
- 3+ years of leadership experience within aerospace, defense, or another regulated manufacturing environment
- Strong ERP/MRP planning experience
- Proven supplier management, sourcing, and contract negotiation skills
- Experience managing supply chains in an aerospace manufacturing environment is required
Preferred Qualifications
- APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD certification
- CPSM certification
- Lean Six Sigma certification
