Job Summary:
The Engineering Manager – Connector Solutions leads the engineering team responsible for the design, development, and implementation of connector products and related interconnect solutions. This role provides technical leadership for new product development and the sustainment of existing product lines while ensuring engineering initiatives support business objectives and customer requirements.
The Engineering Manager is responsible for building and sustaining a high-performing engineering culture grounded in collaboration, technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. This position requires a strong technical background in connector design, proven leadership capability, and the ability to manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously.
The Engineering Manager works closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and program management to deliver reliable, manufacturable, and cost-effective solutions that meet customer expectations and industry standards.
Essential Functions:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team responsible for connector product design and development, including performance management and career development.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the product development lifecycle including concept development, design, validation, and product release.
  • Oversee the design, development, and continuous improvement of connector and interconnect products to meet performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost objectives.
  • Support engineers in solving complex technical challenges while promoting sound engineering practices and decision making.
  • Collaborate with customers and suppliers on technical requirements, product development initiatives, and engineering solutions.
  • Partner with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and program management to ensure successful product development and production implementation.
  • Foster a collaborative engineering culture that encourages open communication, knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and constructive problem solving.
  • Develop and implement engineering processes, design reviews, and best practices to improve efficiency, product quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage engineering project timelines, priorities, budgets, and resources while ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards and quality systems, including AS9100.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Strong technical knowledge of connector design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Years’ Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering management, preferably in the connector or related industry.

Required Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Manage team of engineers
