  • Pay Rate: $25/hr.

  • Schedule: 1st Shift M-F 8am-4:30pm

Job Summary:
The Lab Technician is a skilled individual contributor with an inquisitive nature, responsible for the preparation of design prototypes, conducting evaluations, data acquisition, fluid dispensing and component verification.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Skilled in testing, set-up and instrumentation of mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic and electronic products.
  • Builds and tests sub-assemblies or parts of larger projects under supervision.
  • Maintains, modifications and documents change to existing laboratory and test equipment to operate as needed as directed.
  • Make cause and effect relationships from data obtained.
  • Careful attention to written test procedures is critical to ensure testing is performed with accuracy, eliminating the need for retesting. Reliability of results obtained is critical.
  • Interacts with engineers on regular basis providing information and recommendations leading to conclusions that affect product design.
  • Flexibility to changing priorities due to business demand and other responsibilities as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Two or more years in a mechanical testing lab or environment
  • You must be able to read and understand Engineering Report requests and then be able to efficiently execute the testing and report back the data as required.
  • Solid understanding of good laboratory safety and operations practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Detail oriented, dependable and willing to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of flexibility.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as well as independently. Strong communication skills are a must.

Desired Skills & Abilities:
  • The successful candidate will possess analytical skills to review requirements, properly document test cases, follow and create effective and focused testing plans.
  • Ability to understand and work with industrial quality processes and statistical experience.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail oriented, dependable and willing to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of flexibility.
  • Successful communication skills, business acumen and assertive decision-making ability.

Work Conditions & Physical Demands:
  • Laboratory environment.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
