Compensation, Benefits, and Employment Type
  • Duration: 6 month contract, extension possible
  • Pay rate: $21-$24/hr. based on experience
  • Job Location: National City, CA
  • Schedule: M-F, 1st shift
Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Representative II to support high-volume order processing and customer communication. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely order entry, resolving customer inquiries, and maintaining data integrity across systems. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately enter and process customer orders in an ERP system
  • Manage high-volume order entry (150–200 orders per day)
  • Verify order details via phone and/or email as needed
  • Provide outstanding customer support for order placement, availability, and delivery inquiries
  • Process electronic orders and handle exceptions as they arise
  • Meet or exceed productivity and quality metrics
  • Identify and resolve order or delivery issues proactively
  • Navigate multiple systems throughout the order lifecycle
  • Generate and analyze reports to monitor performance and trends
  • Collaborate with team members on process improvements
  • Escalate customer issues to management when appropriate
  • Support the Customer Care team with data entry and related tasks
  • Assist junior team members with customer inquiries
  • Communicate potential delays or discrepancies to customers
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on ordering platforms and processes
  • Handle non-technical inquiries regarding orders, shipments, and invoices
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information
  • Participate in daily team meetings and contribute ideas
  • Support training initiatives and qualify as a trainer over time
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • 2–3 years of customer service experience
  • 2–3 years of high-volume data entry or order processing experience (150–200 orders/day)
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and de-escalation skills
  • Proficiency with 10-key data entry
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with EDI order processing
  • Experience with multiple order entry platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements
  • Ability to work independently and meet goals
  • Adaptability in a dynamic environment

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
