Position Overview
We are seeking an RF Test and Integration Engineer with experience in designing, integrating, and executing both laboratory and over-the-air (OTA) testing of prototype communications systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement test beds using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and prototype components
- Develop test plans, procedures, and automation frameworks
- Execute RF and communications system tests in both lab and OTA environments
- Collect, organize, and analyze RF and network performance data
- Present results and findings through written reports and verbal briefings
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional program teams
Required Qualifications
- Experience with RF hardware, including communications radios, antennas, and COTS components
- Proficiency with test equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, digital multimeter, signal generator, DC power supply)
- Experience working in Linux environments, including scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) and networking
- Solid understanding of RF theory
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with tactical RF communications systems
- Familiarity with MATLAB
- Experience with software-defined radios (e.g., Ettus USRP)
- Knowledge of cryptographic systems and standards (e.g., AES)
- Familiarity with tactical data links (e.g., Link 16, TTNT, etc.)
- Programming experience in C/C++
- Experience with airborne or flight testing
- Understanding of anti-jam (AJ), low probability of intercept/detection (LPI/LPD) techniques
- Experience with unmanned systems or platforms
Additional Information
- Candidates may begin with an interim security clearance (if applicable)
- Role may involve participation in flight test activities, including potential onboard support
- Interview process includes an initial screening followed by a panel interview
- Position requires approximately 75% onsite presence (3–4 days per week, depending on project needs)
- Occasional domestic travel (1–2 times per year) for test events
