Overview:
Seeking a highly motivated Sales Field Application Engineer (FAE) to serve as the primary technical liaison for key strategic customers. This dynamic, customer-facing role is responsible for delivering expert technical guidance to ensure customers successfully select, specify, and integrate the right interconnection solutions into their hardware designs. By collaborating closely with Sales, Product Marketing, and Engineering teams, the FAE plays a critical role in driving product implementation, aligning with customer requirements, and cultivating long-term strategic relationships.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers throughout the sales cycle, from product selection through implementation
- Delivering technical presentations, demos, and product guidance to internal and external stakeholders
- Partner with customers early in the design process to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and seamless product integration
- Provide hands-on support for a wide range of strategic key accounts across the country
- Travel 30% to customer sites, industry events, and partner visits as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring; Required Skills & Experience:
- 2–3 years of experience in a technical sales, applications engineering, or customer-facing engineering role
- Strong engineering foundation with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical solutions
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with interconnect systems, cable assemblies, connectors, power supplies, or similar electromechanical components
- Experience supporting OEMs in aerospace, defense, or industrial sectors
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Physics required
