- Senior DSP / Audio Systems Engineer (Contract)
We are seeking a seasoned DSP / Audio Systems Engineer to support the integration, deployment, and validation of advanced playback audio processing technologies on mobile handset platforms. This role centers on implementing and maturing DSP algorithms within real?time audio environments and embedded RTOS architectures, working closely with lead DSP developers and cross?functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:

- Implement, integrate, and validate DSP algorithms for playback audio processing on ARM based mobile and embedded platforms.
- Work within real-time audio frameworks and RTOS environments to ensure reliable, low latency algorithm performance.
- Collaborate with DSP architects to refine audio processing modules for mobile constraints (power, memory, concurrency).
- Develop robust, portable DSP components, SDK modules, and integration workflows to support deployment across multiple handset vendors.
- Conduct system level profiling, benchmarking, and validation across reference hardware and emulated test environments.
- Diagnose real?time performance issues and support iterative improvements to audio processing chains.
- 5–15 years of hands on experience in DSP, embedded audio systems, or real time software development.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ and embedded software development on ARM architectures.
- Experience working in RTOS or similar real?time execution environments.
- Background integrating and validating DSP algorithms on mobile or embedded hardware.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills when partnering with DSP algorithm teams and cross?functional engineers.
- Knowledge of real time audio signal chains on mobile handsets or embedded audio SoCs.
- Experience with DSP frameworks, vendor SDKs, or proprietary audio toolchains.
- Familiarity with multi threaded audio processing, low latency pipelines, or hardware accelerated DSP blocks.
- Bonus: Experience with low level performance tuning or algorithm optimization on ARM, Tensilica, or Qualcomm DSPs.
