Our client is seeking a Software Programmer to support the development of mission-critical decision support tools used to integrate data from multiple sensors and systems. These applications enable operators and analysts to rapidly process information, visualize data, and support real-time operational decision-making.
In this role, you'll work as part of a collaborative software development team to design, enhance, test, and maintain web-based applications, user interfaces, and backend services. The environment includes distributed data processing, web services, APIs, and modern containerized deployments supporting high-reliability mission systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Active Secret clearance (or higher)
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong full-stack development experience using Java, JavaScript, SQL, and object-oriented design principles
- Experience developing web applications, REST/web APIs, and graphical user interfaces
- Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and related web technologies
- Experience with Java enterprise technologies (J2EE/JEE, JSP, Servlets, JDBC) and MVC frameworks such as Spring MVC or Struts
- Experience with Git/GitHub and modern software development practices
- Experience building and deploying containerized applications using Docker or similar technologies
- Familiarity with Maven and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift
- Working knowledge of additional languages such as Python, C/C++, Bash, or MATLAB
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with software documentation and build tools (Make/CMake)
- Familiarity with middleware or publish/subscribe architectures (DDS, IDL)
- Experience using Jira and Confluence
- Additional active security clearances
Work Environment
This position is primarily onsite. While some remote work may be possible depending on program needs, much of the work involves classified data and close collaboration with end users, making regular onsite support essential.
